Arrival by car

For guests arriving by car, Dorfgastein is easily accessible via well-developed main roads and highways. Dorfgastein can be reached quickly and easily from Vienna via the A1 and A10. From Munich, you can take the A8 and then the A10. From both directions, the highway must be exited at the Pongau/Bischofshofen junction.

There are plenty of parking spaces and charging stations for electric cars available on site - so you can easily get to the center or to the various leisure and recreational facilities.

Arrival by train

Dorfgastein is located on the Tauern railway line and is perfectly integrated into the rail network.

Out and about by bus in Dorfgastein

The local bus service in Dorfgastein 571 & 572 is well organized, so you can leave your car at home. In winter, the ski bus goes directly to the valley station of the Fulseck summit lift. Day guests arriving by train from Salzburg use the service to get from the train station to the lifts.

  • Bus routes 550, 553 and 554 take guests from A to B in Gastein all year round.

Free public transport from the Salzburger Land for ski guests

The Salzburg Transport Association and the Dorfgasteiner Bergbahnen present an attractive offer: with a valid ski ticket and the arrival/departure ticket, travel by public transport from anywhere in the province of Salzburg is free of charge. The offer also applies to travelers from Spittal an der Drau and St. Johann in Tirol.
