The winter sports offer in Dorfgastein offers you much more than just skiing and snowboarding. Discover the snow-covered mountain world on ski tours, winter and snowshoe hikes or cross-country skiing on perfectly groomed trails. For the adventurous, a paragliding flight over Dorfgastein is an unforgettable experience from a bird's eye view.

Winter wonderland

The two winter hiking trails on the Fulseck offer unforgettable impressions in the snow-covered mountains. Enjoy fantastic panoramas, fresh air and cozy refreshment stops along the way.

Winter hiking trail: Start at the mountain station of the Fulseck summit lift, 1.2 km over the mountain ridge to the Kieserlbahn, freshly groomed daily
Snowshoe route: start at the middle station, 4.8 km via Heumoosalm and Arltörl, almost 600 meters in altitude, refreshments at the Gipflstadl

Ski touring

If you want to reach the summit on skis, you can choose from the following routes:

The ST8 ski touring route starts in Dorfgastein and takes you to the middle station via the Fulseck summit lift. After a short descent via the D1c and the Gruberwaldweg D8, the ascent begins via the Heumoosalmweg to the Heumoosalm and on to the Arltörl, the pass between the Großarl and Gastein valleys. The route runs along the ridge past the Kieserl with its 360° panorama to the Fulseck summit lift mountain station. The tour covers a total of around 5.6 kilometres and 687 metres of altitude difference.
Ski tour evenings: Possible every Thursday as soon as the descent is open. The piste remains open until 9 pm, ascent to the Wengeralm included.

Cross-country skiing

Two trails for classic cross-country skiing await you in Dorfgastein.

Mühlbachloipe: 2.5 km, ideal for beginners. Start at Stoani, further entrances at Stoffbauer and Maierhofen.
Unterberg trail: 0.8 km, floodlit from 5-8 pm. Guided cross-country skiing courses on Thursdays for all newcomers.

High above Gastein

A tandem paragliding flight over Dorfgastein is a special adventure. With Lois Grugger's parataxi, you glide gently down into the valley and enjoy fantastic views of the snow-covered mountains.
