ART ON SNOW
Every year, the Gastein Valley becomes the scene of extraordinary creativity:
In the ski resorts of Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein and Bad Gastein, the breathtaking winter landscape and impressive sculptures made of snow and ice merge to create an incomparable experience.
The wintry mountain world becomes an open-air studio where talented artists give free rein to their imagination and create works that focus on the beauty and transience of winter.
ART ON SNOW is much more than an exhibition - it is a unique experience that captures the magic of the cold season in a unique way.

Works of art made of snow & ice
When Superman flies, Mickey Mouse lands in the snow and Hulk forms a snowball, it's ART ON SNOW again - and this time it will be particularly iconic.
From January 31 to February 6, 2026, around a dozen artists will transform the entire Gastein Valley into a walk-in comic world of snow and ice. Under the motto "Comic & Co.", iconic figures and well-known heroes will take shape - and look forward to many visitors.
Social media competition:
It's so easy to win a family vacation
During the ART ON SNOW event, comic enthusiasts have the opportunity to win a two-night family vacation . A big social media competition will take place via the Instagram account @visitgastein. It's easy to take part: simply post a photo or a reel with an Art on Snow sculpture, tag @visitgastein and use #ARTONSNOWCOMICS - and you're in the draw. The more posts with figures, the higher the chance of winning!
