MONDI Bellevue Alm sledge run: a true Gastein classic
Arguably the most iconic run in Bad Gastein, the MONDI Bellevue Alm route combines tradition with unforgettable thrills. Your adventure begins with a ride on one of Austria’s last remaining one-seater chairlifts – an experience in itself. At the top, a charming alpine hut invites you to sit and relax before tackling the 2.5-kilometre descent into the valley. Sledge hire is included in the lift ticket, making it easy to enjoy a spontaneous winter ride.
Aeroplan natural sledge run: family fun on Schlossalm
Just a short walk from the Schlossalm middle station, the Aeroplan natural sledge run promises 3.3 kilometres of pure sledging fun. With sharp bends, wide sections and speedy descents, this track offers just the right mix of excitement and challenge. Sledges can be rented on site, so you’re ready to go in no time. After the ride, it’s a quick 15-minute walk back to the starting point. Alternatively, you can also take the bus or taxi if you’d rather save your energy for the next round.
Night sledging in Gastein: delightful descents after dark
