Declaration on accessibility

Gasteinertal Tourismus GmbH, based in Bad Hofgastein, endeavors to make its website accessible in accordance with § 4c of the Salzburg Accessibility Act implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (OJ L 327, 2.12.2016, p. 1).

This accessibility statement applies to the website www.gastein.com.

Status of compliance with the requirements

This website is only partially compliant with conformance level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Web - WCAG 2.1" according to the applicable harmonized European standard "European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08)" due to the following incompatibilities.

Non-accessible content

a) Incompatibility with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102

The alternative texts on our website still require a thorough review, which is why the WCAG 1.1. alternative texts success criterion is only partially met. We are endeavoring to implement appropriate alternative texts for new content immediately and for older content in the next development cycles, at the latest by the end of 2021.

Several elements on the entire page do not have sufficient contrast, which is why the requirement (WCAG 1.4.3. Contrast minimum) cannot be fully met. As these are mainly elements with blue / white contrast, but this corresponds to our CD colors, a correction will only be possible as a result of a revision of our corporate identity.

"Bold" tag is used to format text. In addition, the html elements

<main> and

are not used to divide the page into specific regions. This means that WCAG success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and relationships) is not met.

References with Aria labels are specified even though the target for the reference does not exist.
This means that WCAG success criteria 1.3.1 (info and relationships) and 4.1.2 (name, role, value) are not met.

Form fields sometimes have no or more than 1 label specified. Therefore, the purpose of the label cannot be clearly assigned in some cases. This means that the success criteria 2.4.6 (headings and labels) and 3.3.2 (labels and instructions) are not met.

Furthermore, to achieve WCAG success criterion 2.1 Keyboard accessibility, it must be possible to open the main menu so that the sub-items in our navigation can be operated appropriately using the keyboard. This is not yet working properly. The visual focus of the active element is not highlighted.

Some links on the website contain no text or are empty, meaning that WCAG success criterion 2.4.4 (link purpose in context) is not fully met.

These deficiencies will be rectified by our technical department in the next development cycles, at the latest by the end of 2021.

For the WCAG success criterion 3.1 Readability, we have randomly checked our website for foreign-language parts. If you find any other expressions that require marking, please let us know.

Our website is presented in accordance with current technical possibilities and standards. We have randomly checked the order in which elements in the main content are technically displayed. If you notice any problems with the implementation of individual elements, please let us have your suggestions.

We have also randomly checked our website for visual animations as well as audio and video files. If you find audiovisual content for which you still need text alternatives or subtitles, or animations that still require mechanisms for interruption, please let us know.

b) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

Live broadcasting time-based media such as webcams

Online map and mapping services

PDF documents and Office documents, primarily older ones, are not accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged so that screen reader users cannot read and use them properly or at all. This means that WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (name, role, value) is not fulfilled.

c) Disproportionate load

Some of our videos do not have audio description. This means that WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (Audio description recorded) is not met. We are of the opinion that a correction would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This declaration was created on 05.05.2021.

The assessment of the compatibility of the website with the WZG for the implementation of the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was carried out in the form of a self-test according to WCAG 2.1 at conformity level AA. The home page, a standard content page (Bad Gastein), an accommodation details page and a form (group inquiries) were checked. Individual page content is regularly checked by the web editorial team when new content is published.

This statement was last updated on 05.05.2021.

Purpose of data processing
DBB processes the personal data of employees, partners, customers and suppliers for the purpose of performing its business activities and fulfilling the associated legal and contractual requirements.

Collection of customer data
In the course of purchasing a ticket via the online form, by telephone or at our ticket offices, we collect and process - depending on the respective product - first name, surname, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth and photo to carry out the booking and payment process.

Access control
Please note that for the purpose of access control, a reference photo of the lift pass holder is taken when passing through a turnstile equipped with a camera for the first time. This reference photo is compared by the lift staff with the photos that are taken each time a turnstile equipped with a camera is passed through. The reference photo is deleted immediately after the lift ticket expires, the other photos are deleted no later than 30 minutes after the respective turnstile has been passed through. Please note that it is also possible to purchase lift tickets that are technically configured in such a way that no photo is taken when passing through the turnstile, although random checks by lift staff must be expected.

Online store
DBB does not operate an online store. The website www.dorfgastein.com merely redirects to the Ski amadé GmbH online store. The Ski amadé GmbH online store is not covered by this privacy policy.

Photo points
There is a photo point at the summit station of the Gipfelbahn-Fulseck, which you can use to take photos. When you use this photo point, a current photo is taken and published online. Some of the photo points are operated by Alturos Destinations GmbH (Skiline). These are not covered by this privacy policy and are not the responsibility of DBB. DBB can therefore accept no liability for the operator's data protection provisions.

Skiline
You can access the external service Skiline via the website to view your personal altitude profile. Skiline receives the turnstiles you have passed through and your card number to create the altitude profile. No personal data is therefore passed on. When you access the Skiline service via our website, you leave our website and we cannot accept any further liability.

Applicants
The contact details and application documents submitted in the course of an application are processed electronically by us for the purpose of selecting suitable candidates for employment. In the event of rejection, the application documents will only be kept on file if you consent to this.

Proof of low epidemiological risk for ski pass validity ("2G proof")

In accordance with the COVID-19 Measures Ordinance, persons using our cable car facilities for leisure purposes must present valid proof of a low epidemiological risk. This is currently a "2G certificate" (vaccinated or recovered). The legal basis for the control of this proof by us is the legal obligation to carry out this control in accordance with the COVID-19 Measures Ordinance (as amended) in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR. For the purpose of simplifying the control of this proof for multi-day and season tickets, it is possible to store the 2G proof if you give us your express consent to do so. The legal basis for the storage of the 2G proof is therefore your express consent in accordance with Art. 9 (2) lit. a GDPR for the processing of health data via our digital "Safe2Ski Check in" tool from SKIDATA or, in the case of purchases at our cash desks on site, your signing of a corresponding declaration of consent in paper form. There is no legal obligation to store the 2G proof, instead of storing it, an individual check of the 2G proof can be carried out each time you enter a cable car. We use the services of our processor SKIDATA (SKIDATA Austria GmbH, Hochthronstraße 1-7, A-5083 Grödig/Salzburg) for the automated storage and control of your 2G certificate. We have concluded a corresponding agreement with SKIDATA as a processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, which ensures that your data is processed exclusively within the scope of our order. You can find more information about Skidata's data protection at: https://www.skidata.com/de-at/datenschutz/. We generally store your 2G proof for the duration of the validity of your multi-day or season ticket. In addition, processing may take place if this is necessary to assert or defend against claims. You can revoke your consent at any time by sending us an email, without this affecting the legality of the processing up to the point of revocation.
