Before starting this hike, you should take a few minutes to recharge your spiritual batteries at the Annenkapelle (chapel) and enjoy the view of Bad Hofgastein. A path meanders through a mixed forest dominated by coniferous trees, partially through the forest, partially along a forestry road, until you reach a grazing area known as the Rastötzenalm. Flanked by the Geisskarkopf, Frauenkogel, Tennkogel, Gamskarkogel and Rauchkogel, a refreshment break at one of the three mountain huts here has a unique charm all its own.
