For many families, the snowy months are the most wonderful time of the year. And in Gastein, winter is not only about sports but about family fun too! In three lovingly designed practice areas, children and beginners learn how to tackle gentle obstacles and the magic carpet in a playful way. For more adventurous kids, Familypark Gastein offers small kickers and jumps. Alternatively, families can take a spin on the ice rink, try their hand at Alpine curling, or enjoy any number of other winter adventures.
After a day full of excitement, the warm thermal waters are calling. Both Alpentherme and Felsentherme spa have dedicated children’s areas, so while the kids enjoy the slides and lazy river, parents can relax in the sauna or unwind in the thermal zone.

Summer adventures for all ages

For the little ones, there’s even more to explore: hiking adventures with mascot GASTI, fun themed trails such as the motor skills trail at Schlossalm, or a playful stop at the Fulseck forest playground.
And there’s plenty of family fun waiting beyond the hiking trails too, from mountain biking at the pump track and trying asphalt curling to enjoying the child-friendly concerts of Familien:Klassik. Plus, Gastein’s extensive weekly programme for families adds extra variety to your stay.
