My Gastein experience
Combining movement and relaxation: The Gastein valley is made for it. In winter, four ski areas, high-alpine freeride slopes and idyllic winter hiking trails await. During summer, an extensive network of hiking paths opens up, along with varied routes for biking and trail running.
And after an active day in the mountains? There’s nothing better than relaxing tired muscles in the soothing warmth of Gastein's thermal spas
During the cold season, four ski areas with more than 200 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes await winter sports enthusiasts in the Gastein valley. Even the youngest visitors can look forward to plenty of fun in the snow: In three lovingly designed practice areas with magic carpets and playful obstacles, skiing becomes child’s play.
After an exciting day in the snow, it’s time to unwind. At Alpentherme and Felsentherme spa, panoramic pools, sauna areas and relaxation zones provide the perfect way to round off the day.
Tip: With the ski & spa ticket, you can combine the best of both worlds – carving turns in the powder in the morning, then soaking in soothing warmth in the afternoon.

Straight into the warm thermal water after a day's skiing: the Ski & Spa Package combines active days in the mountains with relaxing time out.
Off the slopes, winter in Gastein offers just as much variety. Picturesque winter hiking trails invite you to enjoy peaceful moments amid mountain scenery, while those seeking more action can race down Fulseck on a winter mountain cart.
After an active winter's day, Gastein's warm thermal waters provide relaxation for adults and sliding fun for children – ideal for unwinding, enjoying the sauna and ending the day on a high note.
In the warmer months, Gastein transforms into a hiking paradise with around 600 kilometres of marked trails. One particularly popular route is the Gastein Trail, which links the most scenic stages of the valley into a multi-day long-distance hike. But even those who prefer shorter tours will find their perfect hiking experience in Gastein, for instance, during a leisurely stroll as part of the hiking circuit days or on a romantic evening ride up the mountain by cable car. For more action, try trail running or speeding through nature on a mountain cart. Whichever summer activity you choose, rounding off the day with a visit to Alpentherme or Felsentherme spa is pure bliss.
Tip: With the Almorama Card or the Mountain & Spa Card, you can conveniently combine Gastein’s highlights. For instance, the latter includes both cable car tickets and thermal spa entry in one pass.
