How is the starting order determined?

Points are assigned for each race based on a formula similar to the FIS points system. Factors like age, gender, or equipment type (ski or snowboard) do not factor into it – only performance matters: The fastest racer of the day receives zero points.

The most recent three races are always included in the calculation. If a participant hasn’t completed three races, penalty points are assigned for each missing result.

Points are accumulated over a rolling three-year period, and the average score determines each athlete’s overall ranking.

The starting order is then drawn in blocks of 30 athletes: ranks 1–30 form the first group, 31–60 the second, 61–90 the third, and so on. New participants entering their first race of the season are placed in the final starting group. Racers start at 15-second intervals.

How is the race scored?

Girls 2008-1996 (completed 18th year of age - 30)
Women 1995-1981 (31-45)
Ladies 1980-1966 (46-60)

The race day is the cut-off date, i.e. the age on the day of the race and not the year of birth.

In addition, there is a prize for the winner of the day of both genders.

There is also a prize for the runner who comes closest to the average of all running times.

There is also a team classification. Four runners form a team. The 3 fastest times of the team will be ranked.

Where can I find the current points list?

The current overall points list can be viewed online.

Is there a race briefing?

Yes, a race briefing will be held on Friday, 27 March 2026, at 4 p.m. in front of Restaurant Weitmoserin at the Schlossalmbahn valley station. Attendance is not mandatory but strongly recommended.

Will the race take place even in bad weather?

The event is designed to go ahead in almost all weather conditions. However, the race duration may be adjusted if necessary. In the event of heavy fog or strong winds, the start may be moved further downhill. If the valley run is closed, the finish line may be moved higher up the mountain.

What does the supporting programme look like?

The entire race will feature laid-back commentary and great music throughout the day. Following the awards ceremony at 4 p.m., the after-race party will kick off at Restaurant Weitmoserin at the Schlossalmbahn valley station – featuring live music from Max & the Strangers, along with sets by DJ Hiems and Dannykaay.
